Home Plumbing Assessments in Central Texas

Know what's behind the walls before it surprises you.

Quick answerA home plumbing assessment is an on-site evaluation of a house's supply piping, drains, water heater, fixtures, pressure and visible risks by a licensed master plumber. It goes deeper than a general home inspection on plumbing and ends with a prioritized written report. Typical fees in Central Texas run $395–$795 depending on home size and testing.

General home inspectors do good work across dozens of systems, but plumbing gets a fraction of their time. They'll note a drip or a missing anti-scald valve; they won't usually tell you the house is plumbed in polybutylene, the water pressure is 105 psi and quietly killing your fixtures, or that the cast iron drain under the slab is near the end of its life.

Our assessment is plumbing-only and done by a Texas Responsible Master Plumber. We identify pipe materials and their remaining life, test static pressure, check the water heater's age, venting and safety devices, run every fixture, look for signs of slab or wall leaks, and rank what we find: fix now, plan for, and leave alone. Because we don't do the repairs, the list isn't padded.

Home Assessments FAQ

How is this different from a home inspection?

A home inspection covers the whole house at a general level. Our assessment is plumbing-only, done by a master plumber, and goes deeper on pipe materials, pressure, remaining life and realistic repair costs.

Can you do it during my option period?

Yes. Tell us your option-period deadline when you book; we prioritize pre-purchase assessments so the report lands while you can still negotiate.

Do you scope the sewer line?

We can review sewer camera footage from any provider, or coordinate a scope. We don't sell sewer repairs, so the interpretation of the footage stays independent.
